Text Speaker is a program that can read aloud or can convert your documents into MP3 format files, so you can hear them instead of reading them, making it ideal for creating your own audio books. Text Speaker can import and speak or convert files in these formats: MS Word (DOC or DOCX, even if you do not have Word installed on your computer), Rich Text Format (RTF), HTML (or HTM), and plaint text (TXT). When you use it with an HTML document, TextSpeaker skips the tags and commands reading! Moreover, you can leave it hidden in the tray.
To convert any of the above mentioned format documents into MP3 files, open all the documents you would like to convert by using File -> Open. In the File List at the bottom of the Text Speaker window, click the check box beside File Name to select all documents. Now, click Speak -> Convert Selected Files to Audio. Choose the output audio format and settings, and click OK to start the conversion process.
